Terms
Registry is software made by Black Label Tec. By using it you agree to these terms.
Registry is self-help software, not a law firm
Registry organizes the information you enter, applies published rules of the U.S. Copyright Office and the Copyright Claims Board, and prepares documents for you to review and file yourself. Registry does not represent you, does not file anything on your behalf, does not give legal advice and does not create an attorney-client relationship. You are responsible for what you file and for every statement you sign. Rules change; check the official sources linked in the app before you file.
What you pay for
- Registry membership — $9 per month, billed by Stripe until you cancel. Cancel any time from the planner’s Membership panel; access continues to the end of the period you paid for.
- Claim Kit — $49 once for one case file.
Government fees (Copyright Office registration fees and Copyright Claims Board filing fees) are paid by you directly to the government. Registry never takes a percentage of any settlement, award or recovery.
Refunds
If Registry did not work for you, email michael@blacklabeltec.com within 14 days of a charge to ask for a refund.
Your data
Your ledger, case files and evidence notes are stored in your browser. You are responsible for keeping backups. See the privacy notice.
No guarantee of outcome
Registry cannot guarantee that a registration will be accepted, that a claim will be found compliant, that a respondent will participate, or that you will recover anything. Registry is provided as is, to the extent the law allows, and its total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid Registry in the twelve months before a claim.
